Muskaan, played by Kajol, loses her parents at a young age and lives with her over-protective older brother Vishal, played by Arbaaz Khan and their uncle. She decides to go to Mumbai to study in the university. Reluctantly, Vishal allows Muskaan to go. On reaching the university she makes friends quickly and also falls in love with a mischievous and underachieving boy named Suraj, played by Salman Khan. On learning this fact, Vishal is furious and stops Muskaan from going to college. Suraj however doesn’t give up and starts working on Vishal’s farm to prove his worth to the family. Slowly Vishal warms up to him and allows Muskaan to marry Suraj.
The movie is directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Bunty Walia and Sohail Khan. The star cast includes Kiran Kumar, Ashok Saraf, Nirmal Pandey, Aasif Shaikh, Anand Balraj, Ashish Balram Nagpal and Anjala Jhaveri. The music is composed by Jatin Lalit and the lyrics are written by Sameer and Sudhakar Sharma.
