“Rajavukku Check” is a 2020 Tamil thriller film written and directed by Sai Rajkumar. The production is under Palette Kokkari Film House in association with its producers Soman Palette and Thomas Kokkati.
The story is that of “Rajasekar” (Cheran), a meticulous police officer who suffers from a rare medical disorder called Kleine-Levin Syndrome, where he falls into deep sleep for many hours. Here, despite this, he lives with great affection for his teenage daughter, “Ankitha”.
One day, four criminals, led by “Irfan”, seek revenge on Rajasekar for having arrested and imprisoned them in the past. To get back at him, they kidnap Ankitha and use her as bait in this twisted game. However, they don’t just take away; they lock her inside Rajasekar’s own house and watch his every move through cameras hidden all around.
Not finding a way out or to sound for help, Rajasekar is caught between a tight wit battle. It is given the criminals that time to save his daughter, as every attempt would be anticipated and blocked. His conditions make it rather complicated, though, as one can fall to deep sleep within a moment that would put a daughter in worse danger.
As the clock ticks, Rajasekar has to outsmart the criminals with his experience and instincts to save his daughter. But with every move of his being monitored, can he defeat them and save Ankitha before it’s too late?
With an intense narrative, gripping suspense and a powerful performance by Cheran, Rajavukku check is a thriller ride that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.
