Rajni Ki Baraat is a new Hindi satirical drama. It was directed and co-written by Aditya Aman. The main stars are Ulka Gupta, Ashwath Bhatt, and Sunita Rajwar. The film’s mix of humour and drama sets it up as a compelling story about fighting for what you believe in.

The story is about Rajni, a daring girl in her teens lives in a small town called Darbhanga, is the central character of the film. When the father of her boyfriend, a no-nonsense cop, tries to marry his son to someone else, Rajni starts giving him a hard time. She does it by throwing a huge wedding procession (baraat), thus bulldozing the old social and class barriers with her large, colourful and noisy wedding ‘party’. Her action not only marks a protest but also spreads love and women’s empowerment around like a big party.

This powerful film premiered in May 2026 at the Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai, where it turned out to be a great success and was rewarded with a prolonged standing ovation. Even though no specific date for theatrical release has been indicated yet, viewers are likely to receive a strong, stirring, and entertaining film that, through the realistic portrayal of a brave woman making her own choices, blends humour and drama to celebrate feminine power.
