Ajay Sharma is happily married to Nirmala and has a thriving business. As the years pass by Ajay gets too engrossed into his business affair and almost becomes a workaholic. This sees him giving very little or no time to his beloved wife Nirmala, who is home alone and lonely most of the time. Ajay’s friend Ravi comes to visit them and notices that things aren’t great between the couple and that he has been ignoring his wife and devoting all his time to his work. He thus hatches a plan to rekindle the love between the two. He creates misunderstandings between his secretary, her boyfriend and Ajay, leading to a hilarious twist. The film is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and produced by Rajeev Pandya. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Amol Palekar, Farooque Sheikh, Parveen Babi, Utpal Dutt, Devan Verma, Om Prakash and Deepti Naval.
