Professor Sharma takes care of Suman after her parents pass away. He welcomes her into his home where he lives with his wife and sons Arun and Bunty. Suman is in love with Ravi and soon they decide to get married. However things take an ugly turn when Bunty dies in an accident. The wedding is then cancelled. Meanwhile Ravi goes abroad on some research and hopes to get married to Suman on his return. In the mean time Arun is now in trouble when he is accused of theft. Suman somehow bails him out with the help of Ravi’s mother. Things change drastically when Sharma passes away and Suman is left to take care of Arun. Arun grows up to be an engineer and gets a job as a chief
engineer at a construction company. He then falls in love with the wealthy Aarti and gets married. Just as they settle into marital bliss, Aarti dislikes the constant interference of Suman in their lives. She is unhappy about this and confides in Arun. The latter takes the harsh decision of asking Suman to sign a document ending their relation forever. Suman readily agrees to this. The film is directed and produced by Ajay Goel. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The star cast includes Raj Babbar, Rati Agnihotri, Suresh Oberoi and Nutan.
