Raj is an orphan who has been deprived of love all his life. He
meets Laxmi who comes from a disturbed family of an
alcoholic father and a evil step mother. They both fall in love
and get married. Both create a peaceful and secure
environment for their three children Ravi, Shashi and Babli.
However everything isn’t so great when the children grow up.
Ravi falls in love with a prostitute’s daughter and leaves home,
while Shashi is caught stealing money from Raj and thrown out
of the house. Meanwhile Babli is now of marriageable age and
Raj and Laxmi want her to get married to their friend’s son.
However Babli is of the opinion that she would not want to
spend her life being an ordinary housewife like her mother and
refuses to marry.
Laxmi and Raj are devastated that their children have turned
out like that. Soon Raj develops a heart condition and is taken
to the doctor. While the doctor is checking him Laxmi collapses
and it turns out that she has cancer and will not survive very

long. Raj then begs all his children to come home and stay with
them in his wife’s last days. They all agree and Babli too
marries where her parents wanted her to. One day Laxmi
collapses in Raj’s arms and he has a heart attack and both diw
in each other’s arms. The film is directed by T Rama Rao and
produced by Vijay Soorma and Rajeev Kumar. The music is
composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the cinematography is by
V Durgaprasad. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Govinda,
Rekha, Anuradha Patel, Utpal Dutt, Shafi Inamdar, Jr Mehmood,
Alankar, Ashok Saxena, Manoj Verma, Shubha Khote, Sheila
David, Aruna Irani and Purnima.
