Santosh is an acclaimed 2024 Hindi crime drama film. Sandhya Suri is both the director and writer. The main star is Shahana Goswami, supported by Sunita Rajwar and Sanjay Bishnoi. This serious movie is a police story set in rural North India.

The plot revolves around Santosh. A woman who takes over the job of her deceased husband as a police constable. While probing the murder of a Dalit minor, she stumbles upon serious issues within the society. Santosh is put in a position where she has to contend with widespread corruption and the barbaric caste system in the village. Her battle is for the truth and she fights alone.

The film depicts the main themes of caste discrimination, police bribery and gender biases. It was first screened at an international festival in 2024. The cinema release of the film was postponed because the director, Sandhya Suri strongly opposed the censorship cuts.

The planned OTT release on Lionsgate Play in October 2025 was also paused due to the same dispute. There is no new confirmed date for its release. Audiences should expect a raw, intense, and honest look at the difficult fight for justice.
