Sattam is an action film by the director K. Vijayan. It features Kamal Haasan, Madhavi, Sarath Babu and Jaishankar. The film explores the story of best friends Raja and Ravi, whose bond is tested when they both fall in love with the same woman, Radha. As feelings conflict, their friendship starts to unravel. When Raja is in dire straits and reaches out to Ravi for support, Ravi stuns Radha by seeking a harsh price in exchange, that is, she must choose between love, sacrifice, and loyalty.

Childhood friends Raja and Ravi have quite opposing beliefs. Raja is an honest and sincere police officer who thinks justice should be done; Ravi is a very successful criminal lawyer who has no regard for right or wrong. He only works for money. Despite their differences, they respect each other and never let their professional conflicts affect their friendship. One day, a gang led by smugglers Ramesh and Michael Johnny robs a bank. Raja catches Michael, but Ramesh hires Ravi to defend him. Even though Ravi knows they are guilty, he wins the case. Meanwhile, both Raja and Ravi fall in love with Radha. When they find out they love the same woman, their friendship begins to shake. Eventually, Radha falls in love with Raja. Ravi, heartbroken, feels betrayed, especially after seeing photos of Raja and Radha together.

The situation worsens when Raja is falsely accused of killing a suspect in custody and is arrested. Radha turns to Ravi for help. Angry and bitter, Ravi agrees to defend Raja only if Radha agrees to spend a night with him. Shocked but desperate, Radha agrees. Ravi wins the case and gets Raja released. That night, Ravi reads a letter from Raja explaining he would have stepped away if he had known about Ravi's feelings for Radha. Deeply moved, Ravi feels ashamed. When Radha arrives, he asks her to call Raja and invite him over. Just then, Ramesh and his men attack. Raja arrives in time, fights them off, and saves Ravi and Radha. In the end, the two friends reconcile and forgive each other.

Sattam is a gripping action drama that delves into themes of friendship, love, betrayal, and redemption. With strong emotional depth and intense character conflicts, the film keeps viewers engaged through its powerful narrative and dramatic twists. The emotional tension between personal loyalty and professional duty is portrayed with nuance, making the story both relatable and thought-provoking. Its blend of action, emotion, and moral dilemmas makes Sattam a memorable and impactful watch.
