“Singapore Saloon” is an upcoming 2024 Tamil coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Gokul, produced by Ishari K. Ganesh for Vels Films International. RJ Balaji and Meenakshi Chaudhary feature in the main cast.

The film is based on the life of “Kathir”, a hot-blooded barber who aspires to leave an impression in the hairstyling sector. Born in Tenkasi, he developed a passion for hairstyling in the hands of “Chacha”, a neighborhood barber. In spite of his father's desire that he take up a secure job, Kathir takes up the profession he loves, turning down a corporate career and working for Wink Saloon under ace hairstylist “Anoop Menon”. As time progresses, he becomes popular for his work and develops a faithful fan base.

Half-bent on starting up on his own, Kathir purchases land for Singapore Saloon, but financial flow problems and unexpected setbacks test his dream. When a flood expels the slum dwellers onto his land and his loans pile up, he finds himself in a corner. Right when he was ready to give up hope, a kind-hearted benefactor urges him to remain steadfast to his wish. Now with a renewed sense of optimism, he nurtures the growing talent and gains favour with the public until Singapore Saloon becomes a city-wide staple.
