Directed by R. Thyagarajan, Thai Meethu Sathiyam (1978) is an action thriller film. Features Sripriya, Mohan Babu, Prabhakar, and Rajinikanth. Babu, who vows to avenge the deaths of his family members by searching for Balu and Johnny, is the main focus of the film. In his preparation for the fight, he soon realises that the actual offender is someone quite close to him.

Babu, a kind-hearted shepherd who lives peacefully with his parents and his loyal dog, Ramu. One day, tragedy strikes when a group of cruel men murder Babu’s parents. The only witness to this crime is Ramu. Heartbroken and angry, Babu swears on his mother’s memory that he will get revenge on the killers. With the help of a supportive village landlord, Babu trains himself in using guns and learns to ride horses. He transforms from a simple shepherd into a brave and sharp-shooting hero.

He sets off on a trip to find the killers wearing a cowboy hat and with Ramu beside him. As Babu tracks each of them, he cleverly overcomes the traps and dangers they set for him. One by one, he brings the men to justice. His deep love for his parents and his unbreakable promise to his mother give him the strength to fight till the end. In the showdown, Babu defeats the last of the killers and fulfils his vow. The narrative concludes with Babu paying tribute to his mother's memory, proving that love, loyalty and justice may lead even the most humble man to greatness.

Thai Meethu Sathiyam is a gripping action thriller that blends emotional depth with intense revenge drama.
