"Thudikkum Karangal" is a 1983 action film. It’s got Rajinikanth, Radha, Jaishankar and Sujatha. It revolves around Balu, an obedient clerk at Ramesh’s estate. When Ramesh inadvertently kills Balu, his brother Gopi is shattered and determined to take vengeance.

Gopi, a thug turned honest auto mechanic. He cohabits with his sibling, Balu, a clerk for an affluent and influential individual named Ramesh. One dreadful day, something happens at Ramesh’s estate that causes Balu’s untimely demise. Gopi is brokenhearted and furious. He believes that Ramesh is accountable and sets out to avenge his brother’s death. This sparks a tense and emotional confrontation between Gopi and Ramesh, with Gopi intent on demanding answers from him.

As the plot proceeds, Gopi is aided by his sweetheart Radha and his happy-go-lucky sidekick Babu, who provides comic relief to the weighty narrative. Radha supports Gopi in his hard times, empowering him. Gopi encounters a host of obstacles on his quest for justice, but his determination, and brotherly love push him forward. The movie emphasises the importance of family, loyalty and doing the right thing.

"Thudikkum Karangal" packs an emotional punch, combining action and drama. Packed with robust motifs of allegiance, righteousness and kinship, the movie captivates audiences throughout. Its poignancy is tempered by humour, and the characters were genuine. With a fitting soundtrack and a great mood, it’s a must-see for lovers of great, heart-pounding cinema.
