"Yatchan" is a 2015 action comedy directed by Vishnuvardhan, who also co-wrote and co-produced it. It features Arya, Krishna, Swati Reddy, and Deepa Sannidhi. It is about two strangers, a local goon and a would-be actor, who unintentionally exchange lives and are entangled in a perilous conspiracy of a politician and a girl who possesses the power of seeing the future.

Chinna, a Thoothukudi rowdy (Arya), hopes to become an actor like his hero, Ajith Kumar. One day, he is approached by Sotta Mani (Thambi Ramaiah) to murder Shwetha (Deepa Sannidhi), a young lady with the ability to foresee future happenings. Karthik (Kreshna), a quiet man from Pazhani, aspires to be a film actor. Encouraged by his girlfriend, Deepa (Swati Reddy), he fights against his conservative father, who is opposed to his interest. One day, by pure chance, Chinna and Karthik exchange vehicles and unwittingly swap their fates. Chinna gets into a film audition and gets picked by director S. J. Suryah for a part originally designed for Karthik. Karthik gets mistaken for a gangster and dragged into Chinna's world.

As Shwetha gets to learn about a politician, Vetri, who is involved in corruption, she finds through her psychic touch that he is Selvam, the twin brother of Vetri, who killed him. Selvam, jealous of Vetri’s fame, staged the murder with the help of a crooked cop, Devaraj. Shwetha’s gift exposes his secret, and Selvam kidnaps her, along with Chinna and Karthik. In a final showdown, the two men team up to defeat Selvam and bury him alive. After the fight, Karthik returns to acting, and Chinna goes back to his usual life.

"Yatchan" is an entertaining combination of action, fantasy, and comedy with an out-of-the-world story. The high-energy act by Arya and Krishna comes across well on screen, as does the twist involving twins, which introduces suspense. Despite the movie's convoluted plot, the humour and pace keep things going. An open-ended close, leaving everyone with a delightful scope for fantasy possibilities, has the director nodding to Vishnuvardhan himself.
