Hosted by Farah Khan, the Lion is believed to be an unseen force that dictates the rules, twists and has a dynamic power in the game.  With the 50 inching closer , its added fuel to the speculation of the newly released promos that features Ajay Devgn and instantly the social media buzz with their own theories of the possible role is circulating around. 

Is the Lion? Is the question that comes up after the promo was released with Ajay Devgn also seen watching the teaser of the The 50 on his television when the telephone starts ringing and the caller asks the same burning question, ‘Is he the Lion?’      The actor responded , ‘ Nahi yaar main nahi hoon, The 50 ka Lion’ but he also cheekily added that the show itself is pretty controversial and pulled it off with a small prank that he is known for. 

The punchline is striking with his iconic Singham pose with which he had further added that the chaos of managing fifty contestants that he doesn’t like to attend a party of five people and that for the last time he concludes by saying he is not the 50 ka Lion, that he has playfully denied. 

The promo is clever marketing move for an intrigued design 

For now the true identity of the Lion remains a closely guarded secret as Ajay Devgn’s involvement as the Lion is denied.  It appears to be a marketing designed gimmic.  The 50 is set for its premiere on the 1st of February at 10.30 pm on Colors Televison and will be streaming at 9 pm on Jio Hotstar.  The confirmed contestants have lined up which includes Karan Patel, Faisal Shaikh, Divya Agarwal, Shiny Doshi, Monalisa and Vikrant , Dushyant Kukreja and Rudra Rana with more surprise elements expected. 

What is The 50?

The 50 is an adaptation from the popular French Reality Show , Le Cinqante which promises high stakes in its format. Set in a grand palace like arena will bring together 50 diverse contestants where alliance, pschylogical game play and strategy over traditional elimantion will take place. In the heart of it all will stand the Lion, the mysterioius authority controlling the game which will interestingly keep the contestants and the viewers guessing ,making this reality show exciting.
