Rising star Aneet Padda, who made a remarkable debut with Yash Raj Films’ Saiyaara earlier this year, has now bagged a powerful role in Nitya Mehra’s upcoming courtroom drama Nyaya.

The actress, praised for her romantic performance in Saiyaara opposite Ahaan Panday, is set to showcase her versatility in a more intense and emotionally layered space.

In Nyaya, Aneet Padda will portray a young survivor who takes on a powerful spiritual leader accused of misconduct. Her character, rooted in courage and resilience, adds significant depth to the narrative as it explores themes of justice, power imbalance, and the pursuit of truth.

Directed by Nitya Mehra, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Arjun Mathur, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Raghubir Yadav, and Rajesh Sharma. The project is a collaboration between Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia, marking Padda’s second outing with the duo after the series Big Girls Don’t Cry.
