Bobby Deol steps into one of his most intense roles of his career in the film Bandar. Written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the film is helmed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and is backed by Zee Studios.  The expectations are high with this much anticipated in a worldwide theatrical release. 


The vision behind the cult classics, like Gangs of Wasseypur and Black Friday, Bandar is also expected to deliver a raw and fearless story. The script comes from the much-acclaimed duo behind Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab, and more recently directed Kohrra directed by the notable Sudip Sharma.


Bandar generated international buzz at its premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival in 2025.   


The film Bandar that garnered the buzz at an international platform was presented in a special presentation category.  Critics have described the film as a hard hitting unflinching and an impactful film, due to which it cemented its reputation as one of the standout entries at the film festival. 


The ensemble star cast includes Sanya Malhotra, Raj B. Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen and Nagesh Bhosle besides Bobby Deol in the pivotal roles.


With the creative team’s talented outlook and razer sharp team, Bandar will be one of the most explosive theatrical releases of 2026.
