One of the promising actors of the industry, Durgesh Kumar who is popularly known for his remarkable performances in Highway, Panchayat, and Laapataa Ladies, has revealed that he is still continuing to struggle in order to find new projects.

While addressing his prolonged journey of twelve years in the industry, Durgesh Kumar accepted the fact that this path is very rigid and complicated. 'This has been very hard for me. Many people see the success of Panchayat, but the reality is totally parallel, as even after twelve years of immense work, it's still a deep struggle for me to find new projects. In the past one year, I haven't received a single audition call from any kind of renowned and mainstream production house. Although I have worked with various producers who recognized my talent and dedication.'

In a formal conversation with ETimes, When he was asked 'Why do larger projects haven't come in your way' He said, "I don't know what could be the reason behind that. The industry is well-aware of my talent and work, but unfortunately I have to roam around the casting directors for auditions as even after my two successful roles in Highway as well as Panchayat, no production house has ever favoured me with a lead role."

Further, he revealed that he has an exciting and surprising range of projects. 'My upcoming film will be releasing on 21st March and it will be led by Vikram Bhatt wherein I'll enact a significant and major role alongside Anupam Kher. Also, I have worked upon more than five independent projects, and one of those is with Saif Ali Khan.'
