The joyous occasion of festivals in India also is a time for big movie releases. Being a holiday season, people flock to the theatres. This year however, even though cinema halls are going to open its doors to the public soon, filmmakers are still picking digital releases for their movies. One among them is the Emraan Hashmi starrer horror flick Dybbuk. The film will premiere on Diwali on Amazon Prime Video. The film will however be clashing with two other films lines up for digital release. One is Meenakshi Sundareshwar starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani on November 5th, while the other is Hum Do Hamare Do releasing on October 29th starring Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Dybbuk is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit Ezra that released in 2017. It is directed by Jay Krishnan and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. Only time will tell which of these movies will impress the audiences during the auspicious and festive time of Diwali.
