Yesterday, Filmmaker Karan Johar finally broke his silence and lashed out at a comic show which allegdely disrespected him. Karan Johar took to his Instagram story to shared his feelings after coming across a promo of comedy TV show. He expressed what suprised him more that the show is being air on a respectable channel.

Karan Johar Calls Out Comedy Show for Disrespectful Parody on 'Koffee With Karan':

Karan Johar is one of the well known and respected name of Indian film industry. The filmmaker always take stands and hit back at trolls. On Sunday night, Karan Johar posted a story which rapidly gain evryones's attention. The filmmaker criticsed a TV show which disrespected him while mimicking him in a parody of his show 'Koffee With Karan.'

Karan Johar Expresses Disappointment Over TV Show's Disrespectful Parody on Social Media:

Karan Johar wrote, 'I was sitting and watching television with my mom... and saw a promo of a reality comedy show on a supposedly respectable channel ... a comic was mimicking me in exceptionally poor taste. I expect this from trolls and faceless and nameless people but when your own industry can disrespect someone who has been in the business for over 25 years it speaks volumes about the times we live in... this doesn't even anger me it just makes me sad!'


Karan Johar Shocked by Disrespectful Parody on Prime-Time TV Channel Sony Entertainment Television's show Madness Machayenge India Ko Hasayenge:

Karan Johar's disappointment was expected as the promo was truly disrespectful towards him. What suprised him was the show he was talking about is from a respectful and a leadin TV channel 'Sony Entertainment Television.' A comedy show called  Madness Machayenge India Ko Hasayenge featured a segment where comedians acting out a parody act of Karan's talk show 'Koffee With Karan.' They titled the show in their parody 'Toffee with Churan' and one of the comedian was seen mimicking Karan Johar. Although Johar didnt mention the name of show or the channel but it was very obvious to find for audience. The show premiers on Sony Entertainment Television on Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm.

Ekta Kapoor Supports Karan Johar Amidst Controversy Over TV Comedy Show:

Producer and director Ekta Kapoor also came in support of Karan Johar. She shared her reaction on her Instagram story; she wrote, 'Happened so many times! Ugly humour sometimes on shows. N even award functions. N then they expect you to attend! Karan please ask them to imitate one movie or classic of yours.' Karan Johar re-posted her story and wrote, 'Love you Ektu!'


Comedian Apologizes to Karan Johar for Disrespect, Expresses Regret:

After Karan Johar lashed out the comedian who was mimicking the filmmaker has responded while interacting with media. Kettan Singh who featured in the show Madness Machayenge India Ko Hasayenge shared his intention was never to hurt Karan. He said, 'I would like to apologise to Karan (Johar) sir. First of all, whatever impersonation I do because I watch a lot of Karan Johar on the coffee show, I am a fan of his work. I have seen his latest film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani 5 to 6 times. I am a huge fan of his work and his show. If my actions hurt him, I would like to apologise to him. My intention was not to hurt him. I just wanted to entertain audience but if I did something extra, I would like to say sorry to him.' He also suggested filmmaker to watch the whole episode. 'I would like to see the reactions of people and Karan sir after watching the episode. I don't want to offend, sir. Many artists don't mimic Karan sir. I used to do it a couple of years ago on The Kapil Sharma Show. I did it for the first time on Madness Machayenge. Apart from my apology, I am not thinking of anything else', he added.

The whole incident was a huge disappointment as someone as senior as Karan Johar is being disrespected on National television.
