Dhobi Ghat was Bollywood filmmaker Kiran Rao’s directorial debut. It was an art house film and starred her ex-husband Aamir Khan too. She is now back with her next film and this time it will be a drama-comedy. The film has gone on floors last week in a Pune town and will be backed by the PK actor. The actor was keen to come on board as a producer after he heard the interesting script. The film’s story will revolve around three characters played by Sparsh Shrivastav of Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega fame, Pratibha Ranta of Qurbaan Hua fame, and 15-year-old Nitanshi Goel

Kiran Rao’s untitled film is written by Biplab Goswami with a screenplay by Sneha Desai. The film’s first schedule will wrap up by January 20th and be shot in various locations in Maharashtra. Music composer Ram Sampath and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya will also be collaborating on the project.
