The Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has made some bold statements about the industry's state, wherein he called out the industry for stealing ideas from the South Indian industry.

Industry's Struggling Phase In Terms Of Creativity

In a conversation with Puja Talwar on her YouTube channel, Nawazuddin Siddiqui actively spoked about the creative gaps In the industry as well as its ever-evolving sense of insecurity, He said, 'In our industry, the same thing has been repeated for five years and finally, when the audiences get bored, they finally let it go. Actually, the sense of insecurity has evolved a lot. They feel that if a formula is working, they keep on milking it and end up overdoing it. The pathetic thing is that currently, there are multiple sequels being made. I think it's kind of a creative bankruptcy, just as the financial bankruptcy. The industry is lacking in terms of creativity.

Further, Nawazuddin also spoke about Bollywood's culture of borrowing or stealing ideas from the other industries. He said, 'Now, how can the thieves be creative? We've stolen ideas from the south industry, sometimes from our own industry, sometimes from here and sometimes from there. Even some cult classics that became major hits also consist of some scenes that have been copied in some or the other films. Thus it has led to many actors and directors to leave the industry. Anurag Kashyap is a prime example of that.
