In a shocking pre-dawn assault that has sent tremors across Haryana’s entertainment hub, three unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire at the office of Saga Music Company in Karnal’s Alpha City around 4:30 am on Sunday. The attack, involving over 50 to 55 rounds of gunfire, left walls riddled with bullets, four people injured, and the residents of the upscale area in panic.

Saga Music Company, owned by producer Sumit Singh, is one of North India’s leading music and film production houses. The company recently launched its OTT platform Kable One, which has been gaining attention across digital markets. Authorities suspect that the attack could be linked to business rivalry, intimidation, or an internal dispute following the platform’s launch.

CCTV footage shows two motorcycles fleeing the scene moments after the gunfire erupted. Police arrived promptly, cordoning off the area and initiating a massive investigation. SP Gangaram Poonia, DSP Rajiv, and Sadar Police Station in-charge Tarsem Singh confirmed that several bullet casings were recovered from the site, underlining the scale and intent of the assault.

Bullets, Fear, and Mystery Shroud Karnal’s Saga Music Office Attack

Sumit Singh has denied receiving any extortion calls or threats. The music mogul, who had recently set up a new office at House No. 1244 in Alpha City, stated that there were no signs of rivalry or dispute leading up to the incident.

Despite Alpha City’s tight security and 24-hour surveillance, the attackers managed to enter and escape without resistance, raising concerns about potential lapses or inside involvement. Security personnel and residents are being questioned to determine how the assailants breached the gated community undetected.

Police sources say the pattern of firing—directed mainly at the building and windows—suggests an intent to create fear rather than assassinate. However, a possible old rivalry or business enmity has not been ruled out.

Music and Mayhem: Saga Music’s Office Turned Into a Warzone

The assault adds to a growing list of violent incidents within the Punjabi music industry, which has been marred by threats and extortion cases in recent years. Just last month, an attack was reported against singer Rahul Fazilpuria, hinting at a disturbing trend of intimidation targeting major industry names.

As investigations continue, forensic experts are analyzing bullet shells and CCTV footage to piece together the sequence of events. Meanwhile, police patrols have intensified around Karnal’s Alpha City, and a specialized task force has been deployed to track the culprits.

A social media post allegedly claiming responsibility for the shootout has also surfaced, though officials are verifying its authenticity. The entertainment industry, shaken by the assault, awaits further clarity as the case unfolds into one of Haryana’s most chilling crime stories of the year.
