Prime Video presented its biggest new originals to showcase about 55 series and movies last week. Alongside the announcement of theatrical films from Amazon MGM Studios India and few other licensed titles, the upcoming slate promises to entertain the customers from OTT to Cinema.


The new slate features the original series and films in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu which spans across a range of genres across both scripted and unscripted storytelling. The line up further introduced new titles including Nikhil Advani’s The Revolutionaries starring Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Bhuvan BamMatka King starring Vijay Varma. Starring Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre and Aamir Bashir in Raakh, followed by the film Lukkhe which will mark the debut of rapper KING and in Vansh- The Kalyug Warriors, which will be India’s homegrown superhero series created for the OTT Streaming. 


Alongside of these new launches is also a slate of contents that brings back the new season of some of the renowned franchises such as Farzi Season 2, Panchayat Season 5, Call Me Bae Season 2, Dupahiya Season 2, Dahaad Season 2 and The Traitors Season 2 among the others.



Expanding its regional storytelling the platform will also launch titles of Telugu adaptation of The Traitors with Teja Sajja as the host while Guvvala Cheruvu Gha is for the Telugu drama starring Kiran Abbavaram and Thiruveer. In the Tamil drama Exam Season 2 of Vadhandi, which is produced by Pushkar and Gayatri and the Season 2 of the Inspector Rishi. 


The slate also introduces a collection of new collaborations for Prime Video. Superstar Hrithik Roshan’s HRX Films is making its foray into the streaming with the original series called the storm. The original movie Mess and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions with the original movie, Don’t Be Shy.


The key highlight of the event was the unveiling of Amazon MGM Studio’s new theatrical content and slate with the five new Indian movies, Raftaar, starring Rajkummar Rao, Keerthy Suresh. Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar. The next was the directorial venture VIBE by Kunal Kemmu featuring himself with Preity G.Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava. The film Dilkashi was directed by Lijo Jose Pellisserey and produced by Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal with music composed by A.R. Rahman. Nayyi Navellli another film starring Yami Gautam is directed by Balaji Mohan and is being produced by Aanand L. Rai. The last is Kuku Ki Kundli directed by Sharan Sharma features Bhuvan Bam and Wamiqa Gabbi.


The slate presented was not just about theatrical releases but it also delivered the lineup of licensed movies across multiple Indian languages with post theatrical release on digital platform premieres. It promised a bold cinematic experience for the audience.

He further stated that they are proud to present the upcoming contents which is the largest ever line up of Originals along with the exciting line up of the theatrical releases from Amazon MGM Studios India and that they constantly try to raise the bar high for quality and storytelling or its narratives that are culturally rooted , relatable or compelling universally to resonate with the audience.


Prime Video in the meantime unveiled a massive slate of original television shows, feature films licensed contents made in India emphasizing on its ambition to expand its footprints in India. Several highly anticipated new titles to be announced with the already announced approximately 55 series and movies already.
