Amid the widespread backlash over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. The film’s producer, Gunbir Singh Sindhu, has finally broken the silence on the backlash around the film. In a statement to India Today, the producer Gunbir clearly clarified the film’s production timeline and confirmed that the film will not see a theatrical release in India.
According to some reports by Bollywood Hungama, Gunbir stated that, ‘The film was shot before the conflict with Pakistan. The film's shooting went on the floors while keeping in mind the sentiments of Indians. There will be no India release for the movie.’
The producers issued this announcement soon after immense criticism erupted on social media and news platforms. Users questioned the inclusion of a Pakistani actor in an Indian production during a sensitive time.
