Shiv Thakare was crowned the winner of at the grand finale of The 50 took place yesterday. The winning was based on the globally recognized format owned by Banijay, The 50 Show is blended with high stakes game play with a very large-scale audience and participation . Emerging as a breakout , it’s the digital first reality property that drove strong engagement across the platforms.
50 Celebrities came together under one roof for the first time to make the show a genre defining spectacle. The show unfolded on a large-scale social experiment guided by the commanding presence of the Lion where survival is not just depended on the strength but also on strategy, relationships and adaptability. Shiv Thakare navigated through his journey in this complete web with his resilience. He was consistent and had a sharp understanding of the game.
Shiv Thakare Wins The 50 in an intense arena of the season.
The Lion introduced the game inspired from his own personal of strength, control and the king like dominance in an intense arena of various tasks of the season. The challenge required the players to complete four mini tasks to collect the kyes by navigating in a complex maze. The final unlock was an assemble of a massive Lion face puzzle that took its center.
The contestants had to first knock down the hanging buckets using balls and retrieve the key . The tasks unfolded in multiple stages . Shiv Thakare had to pass through the broken bridge using planks to reach for the suspended key . He then had to break through three walls to secure the third key and finally navigate through a zig-zag pole that was set to retrieve the last key which was tied to a rope. Once the player collects all the keys he has to climb a ladder, unlock multiple locks and once again assemble a large 3D Lion Face puzzle. The task that required mental sharpness and patience.
Shiv impresses at the Finale Round
Shiv entered the game with a clear strategy with directions from Prince he was quick to make decisions and moved efficiently through the maze. After a brief struggle, to locate the final key , he quickly went on to solve the puzzle independently and finished with full confidence.
Faisal Shaikh aka Faisu delivered a strong performance too and matched with Shiv’s pace in the maze. However, the constant distractions from other players disrupted his rhythm and forced him to ask others to stay quiet. Despite on losing time, Faisu determined to give his best, stayed focused and completed the puzzle swiftly.
In the end Lion had declared Shiv and Faisu the fastest performers while Shiv emerged as the winner of the challenge, as he had proved his dominance in both , strategy as well as in the execution in a unique emotional victory.
The 50 also has rewarded a viewer, a fan, Sitaram Prahlad Aghav with a grand prize of Rs. 50 lakhs. Sitaram was consistently in support of Shiv Thakare throughout the season .This prize was first of its kind integration that bridged between the players and the audience in a life changing experience.
Shiv Thakare on reflecting the win, said The 50 was completely a new experience for him and he wanted to show to the world a different side of himself. One that believed you don’t need to shout or fight to be heard. He said one needs to stay true to self and still get the big win. Being the winner of the very first season among 50 strong players, he said he will always remember and the fact that he got selected among the top 50. He is proud that his people stood by him strongly through the challenges. He further stated he comes from a humble beginning to unfold his own life story that looks like a film and that he has enjoyed every moment of this journey . He said he is grateful for all the love and support he has got and the fact that one of them from the audience is taking back home Rs. 50 lakhs. Said it was overwhelming.
