Actor Amitabh Bachchan flew to Surat in Gujarat for his work commitment.   Several videos did rounds on social media of their favourite actor in Surat, building a massive crowd to get a glimpse of the Bollywood’s Big B. 

Amitabh Bachchan was seen inside a building with a massive crowd surrounding him. His security and the police were struggling to make way for him as the mob gathered around him.  Reacting to the clip that went viral, Instagram fans said, Leave him alone he is 83.

Fans on the internet and social media were unhappy  at the way the actor was treated. Some said he is a human and he is 83 and don’t do this , its overwhelming and inhuman. Mobbing an elderly gentleman even though he may be the superstar of the country is not the right thing for the fans to do. One can click pictures from a distance and show their respect .


Why was Amitabh in Surat?


The legendary actor was in Surat for the Indian Street Premier League Season 3  which is to begin on Friday at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.  The event is a month-long festival with a very high octane for tennis ball T10 cricket and hence there is a vibrant celebration of India’s street cricket culture in Surat .


Amitabh Bachchan is the co-owner of the Majhi Mumbai along with Neeti Agarwal. The season opener will see the defending champions Majhi Mumbai take on to Srinagar Ke Veer .  Fans will be treated to a spectacular opening ceremony at 5 pm today. 

Earlier in the day Amitabh Bachchan was spotted at the Kalina airport in Mumbai with his team heading to take a flight to Surat .  He was seen getting out of his car and urgently ushered into the airport premises after the paparazzi spotted him, he was to have quickly waved at them . The actor was dressed in black and white outfit and looked his towering self of the Indian film industry.

His last feature film is Vettaiyan, in Tamil language action-drama film which is directed by T. J Gnanavel and is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah,’s and Lycal Productions. The film also stars another stalwart of Indian cinema , Rajnikanth alongside Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasi, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh , Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak.
