The Sandeep Modi directorial Marathi film Chumbak, has won its actor Swanand Kirkire a National Award for Best Supporting actor. The actor has also been part of Bollywood movies like the Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Chameli and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi starring Chitrangada Singh.

 

The awards were announced by the head of jury Rahul Rawail at the 66th National Film Awards. Swanand Kirkire has also been featured in movies like Pune 52 and Deool. He is also known to be a singer and lyricist.
