The trailer of the new web series ‘The Hunt The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case’ is out. The Ott platform, Sony LIV, has released the trailer of the series. This web series is based on the book ‘Ninety Days’ by Anirudhya Maitra. It has been directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, and it will stream on Sony LIV from 4th July.
The two-minute and twenty-four-second trailer explores the real, raw and intense manhunt that was unveiled soon after the 1991 assassination. It gives us a glimpse of the investigation of one of India’s most high-profile cases. The story revolves around a complex web of espionage, intelligence failures, shifting allegations, and the immense human cost involved in acquiring the ultimate justice.
The Hunt The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case series’ cast includes Amit Sial as D.R. Kaarthikeyan ( Chief Of SIT), Sahil Vaid as Amit Verma (SP- CBI), Bhagavathi Perumal as Ragothaman (DSP -CBI), Danish Iqbal as Amod Kanth (DIG- CBI), Girish Sharma as Radhavinod Raju (DIG- CBI), Vidyut Garg as Captain Ravindran (NSG Commando) along with Shafeeq Mustafa, Anjana Balaji, B. Sai Dinesh, and others in pivotal roles.
The National winning filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, directs this upcoming web series, and Rohit Banawalkar and Sriram Rajan co-write it. Moreover, the series will be premiering on Sony LIV from 4th July, 2025.
