After a lot of waiting, the makers of Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira's much-anticipated film 'Jodi' have announced the movie's release date. The movie which was earlier slated for a June 2022 release, then for winter 2022, will finally be making it to the big screens in 2023 on May 5th. Diljit Dosanjh has shared the official poster of the movie on his social media story to announce the release date. The poster shows a cassette, whose roll goes up to make a heart, in which the release date has been mentioned.

Raj Ranjodh, who has worked on the musical aspect of the movie has also shared the poster of the film on his handle. Sharing the same he wrote, “Transformation from one genre to another . these songs will hit different for sure 🙏. waheguru da shukar”. Talking about the music of the film, even the director of the movie, Amberdeep Singh said that its song will be remembered even a decade after the movie's release. And sharing the new poster of the movie, he wrote - “The most awaited film of Punjabi cinema”. Well, Amberdeep is not wrong, as people have been waiting for this movie for years now, and there are various reasons behind the same. Firstly, it has Diljit and Nimrat in the lead, secondly, it is being said that the music of the film will be impeccable, thirdly, this is the first time Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in an Amberdeep Singh’s film; so on and so forth.
