The teaser offers a gripping first glimpse of the powerful story that distorts the fine lines between rebellion and crime.  


The movie, is set against the backdrop of Kolkata in 1960 which follows a series of calculated robberies by targeting the powerful.   The incidents that occurred had then sparked fear and fascination among the people   Ananta an ageing and the mysterious figure perceived by some as a criminal while others have portrayed  him as a  savior.  


The story goes with Inspector Durga Roy who launches an intense man hunt received divided public opinion. While some raised the essential question, whether Ananta was a thief or he was born a revolutionary. ?

Through the layered narratives and the timelines, the film delves deep into Ananta’s past . During the India’s Independence movement, Ananta Singh was a devoted freedom fighter under Masterda Surya Sen.  He later becomes a disheartened man who witnesses the erosion of the very ideals he had fought for . With the freedom moment in his heart and soul he is unable to accept the growing corruption and the injustice due to which Ananta turns to radical means to be firm with his morale. He starts a new war for the oppressed and equips himself with a new strategy to fight the two evils, corruption and injustice.


The filmmaker is Pathikrit Basu for this Bengali biographical action-drama film is based on the life of the legendary Bengali freedom Fighter Ananta Singh.  The narrative will explore Ananta’s complex identity for he is considered as a revolutionary hero while the British authorities claimed he was a dacoit.  Focusing on his role in the 1930 Chittagong Armory Raid, post-independence activities.  The teaser which is officially released on the 19th March 2026 , is a high-octane action sequence including bike chases and train stunts. The film also coincides with the birthday of superstar Jeet who turns 47. 


Scheduled for its release on 27th May 2026, the film is directed by Pathikrit Basu and produced by Jeetz Filmworks and Nandy Movies. Starring alongside Jeet as Ananta Singh is Tota Roy Chowdhury in a pivotal role. 


The director felt that Jeetda portrayed a wide range of characters over two decades and was the perfect choice for this role to bring out the intense mental and physical toughness of Ananta Singh.
