As Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal gears up for the release of his upcoming film Sardar Udham, the actor is giving a glimpse of his looks. After sharing a still from the film where he is crossing the road on a busy London street, the Uri: The Surgical Strike actor has shared his prison look from the movie. Sharing it on his social media page he wrote, “1931, Prison, India. Udham Singh was in prison for possession of prohibited papers “Ghadr-i-Gunj” (“Voice of Revolt”). He was released later but under constant surveillance. Soon, he escaped to Europe and never got to return to India. #SardarUdham #SardarUdhamOnPrime | Oct 16.”

 

Sardar Udham is directed by Shoojit Sircar and is a biographical journey of one of India’s most revolutionary freedom fighters Udham Singh. The latter assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, who was the lieutenant governor of Punjab during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film also stars Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, Kirsty Averton and Amol Parashar. It is produced by by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 16th.
