Vicky Kaushal is set to return as Major Vihaan Shergill in Dhurandhar :The Revenge, the part 2 extended cameo of Dhurandhar. 

While Vicky joins the new part of Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait will appear only in flashback scenes making way for this massive universe expansion. 

Aditya Dhar, the director has shot an extended cameo of Vicky Kaushal , the potential new link to the film across Uri Universe. Since then, the speculations on Dhurandhar 2 development further expanding significantly

While there is the excitement of Vicky Kaushal joining the Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal , Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun led film as won’t be just another cameo but an intriguing part of the film as Major Vihaan Shergill from Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike, 2019 release. 

The director this time has smartly woven two stories, with Vicky’s character from the war drama which will smartly be introduced in the few action blocks with the Uri Track and Dhurandhar coming together despite the differences in the timelines.  Although certain aspects remain unclear, the narratives suggests that Aditya Dhar is thinking long-term laying a ground ready for a connected cinematic universe rather than a standalone sequence and sequel of both his films. 

Vicky is one of Aditya’s favourite actors and the director was only too happy to design the portion of the film to have the actor on board and laid the foundation to spin of his role in the film for the future as well and will not be a brief appearance. Vicky Kaushal could be the potential lead to the larger story down the line. 

Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar’s relationship professionally dates back to 2019 with the Uri: The Surgical Strike in which he starred with Yami Gautam . The film was a massive blockbuster and had earned four National Awards. The collaboration had cemented their relationship, with the film that set the benchmark for modern war films in Bollywood. 

With an official announcement still awaited, Vicky Kaushal being a part Dhurandhar part 2, whether his role expands in future installments remains to be seen and if the fans are eager and excitement with the new turn of events that is expected to unfold in Dhurandhar :The Revenge, Part 2 , it would be an understatement to say the least .
