Vidya Balan is getting ready for the release of Do Aur Do Pyaar, her upcoming film. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, the performer talked candidly about how she saw male actors hesitant to share screen time with her in a movie where woman was the main character. Vidya Balan comments, saying, "Kisi ki baap ki industry nhi hai." on nepotism in Bollywood. What Vidya expressed Vidya stated, "Back in the day? ", discussing how female-centric films are more thrilling than those starring male stars. (rolls eyes) I don't think they'd be acceptable to star in a Vidya Balan movie or, for that matter, a female-led movie even now. To be honest, it's their loss because we are doing better movies as compared to them.

"What can I do if they are being threatened?" Vidya went on, "People have obviously expressed gratitude, but male celebrities find it awkward when women take the lead. They would not put up with anyone taking the limelight, in my opinion. However, I never felt awful. I thought, "What can I do if they're in danger? (laughs)"Over the course of her decades-long career, Vidya has starred in numerous female-centric films that have achieved both critical and financial success. Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture, Tumhari Sulu, Sherni, and Jalsa are a few of such movies. For The Dirty Picture, Vidya was also honoured with a National Award for a Best Actress. She co-stars in Do Aur Do Pyaar with Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Ileana D'Cruz. The central themes of the Shirsha Guha Thakurta film are marriage and extramarital affairs. April 19 marks the movie's theatrical debut. Vidya's next appearance is in Anees Bazmee's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which stars Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri.
