The filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is gearing up for the third instalment of their trilogy. The earlier project, The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, is now renamed as ‘The Bengal Files: Right to Life’. They will release the film in theatres on 5th September, 2025.


This upcoming film will mark the third instalment in Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘Files’ trilogy. It follows its earlier projects namely The Tashkent Files(2019) and The Kashmir Files(2022).

Also, this upcoming film will particularly focus on events such as Direct Action Day and the Noakahali riots. The director has described these incidents as a ‘Hindu genocide’ and aims to shed light on this overlooked aspect of India’s history. Also, the film features a stellar cast that includes Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Despite some challenges, the makers managed to complete the project and are currently rooting for its theatrical release.

Vivek Agnihotri wrote The Bengal Files, and Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi produced it. The film’s cast includes Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar in key roles. I Am Buddha Productions and Tej Narayan Agarwal are presenting the film. They will release it in theatres on 5th September, 2025.
