Priyanshu Chatterjee

Besides Bengali Priyanshu Chatterjee is also known for his work in Hindi cinema. He made his debut in Hindi film with Tum Bin in 2001. He was also recognized for his acting in Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai, Dil Ka Rishta , Bhoothnath, Hate Story 3 , Baadshaho and Shikara. 

Priyanshu Chatterjee started his modelling career in the brand advertisements such as Digjam’s Print Campaign, Wills Cigarettes, Levi’s and Four Square. He appeared thereafter in Udit Narayan’s music video. 

He did his debut on the silver screen with Tum Bin in 2001 a romantic drama directed by Anubhav Sinha . His role was much appreciated and he was again cast in Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai in which he co-starred Sakshi Shivanand, Om Puri and Farida Jalal who starred in the film. In 2001 he starred in two other films such as Dil Ka Rishta co-starred with Aishwarya Rai and in Pinjar with Sandali Sinha.

In 2004, he had two unsuccessful films Who and Madhoshi. In 2008, Priyanshu had a small role in the multi starrer Bhoothnath where he played the son of Bhoothnath portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan.

In 2015, Chatterjee was seen in a cameo in Hate Story 3. 

Priyanshu has also been a part of music videos such as Jaanam (Medley) which was his debut in music videos in 1999, in Hum Ko To Hai Poora Yakeen made by MSN Cricket and MSN Sports India, and on The Indian Cricket Team for the ICC World Cup in 2003. 

He acted in short films such as Jaanam in 2002, Dhal Gaya Din Ho Gayi Sham in the same year, Teri Yaad in 2011 in which he acted as a famous model and Jaane Kya Tune Kahi as Rishab in 2012 which was launched by FTII Pune.

Priyanshu also acted in web series such as Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala in 2019 helmed by ALT Balaji and ZEE5. In 2023, he was in the web series named Fireflies: Parth Aur Jugnu as Dr.Arjun Negi which was on the OTT Zee5 and in 2024 he acted in Dil Dosti Dilemma.

Priyanshu Chatterjee’s other films were Who in 2003, Julie and Film star in 2004. In 2005 he essayed a role of Raj Malhotra in Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai followed by 2006 film Utthaan and in the film, Main Rony Aur Jony and Aamar Partigya. In 2008 besides Bhoothnath, he also acted in Nauka Dubi a Bengali film followed by Chintuji and Gumshuda in 2009.

In 2010 Priyanshu acted in Moner Manush in Bengali film which was an Indo-Bangladesh joint production and Florida Road and Punorutthan . In 2011, He acted in few more Bengali films such s Bhorer Allo and Iti Mrinalini . He also did his debut in Punjabi film called Sirphire in 2012 followed by Paanch Adhyay a Bengali Film and Rajdhani Express in Hindi. In 2013 he continued with two Bengali Films, Shunyo Awnko and One liner. 

Priyanshu had a continued career between Hindi and Bengali films such as Blue Neptune, Calapor Samrat & Co and a Bengali film Ek Raat and Amar Taka Kothay in 2014 which was later dubbed in Hindi and few other languages through different starcast. 

Some of his other not so popular films are Barkhaa, Troyee and Un plus Une in 2015, a debut with Paris based French language. In 2016 it was Potadar Kirtee, Sangabora, Shankhachil which was again an Indo-Bangladesh joint production. He was a part of the film Dreaded Gangster followed by Majaz-Ae Gham-e-Dil Kya Karun by Rajshri production in 2017. He further appeared in 61Garpar Lane a Bengali film and Wedding Anniversary as Nirbhay a Hindi film.

Priyanshu appeared in Bengali films such as Ebong Kirti,Colours of Life , OSKAR, Sundari

Hindi films were Mirza Juuliet, Baadshaho, Billu Ustaad, Lashtam Pashtam, Little Baby Film, Officer Arjun Singh IPS Batch 2000, Shikara, Khabar, 3 Shyaane . He also acted in the 2021 British Crossover English Film called Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff. He had a small role in 2023 12th Fail and in Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video , Non stop Dhamaal . In 2024, Priyanshu appeared in Sadhu Mehi and Mayamrigaya and Rabindra Kabya Rahasya, Bengali films.

Priyanshu also tried his debut with Telugu and Tamil film Kubera and the most recent film that is going through lot of controversies, Priyanshu essayed the role of Justice Banerjee in The Bengal Files released in September 2025.
