Raashii Khanna made her debut in acting in films as a supporting artist in the Hindi film Madras Café in 2013, directed by Shoojit Sircar. She had played the role of Ruby Singh, the wife of the intelligence officer essayed by John Abraham. Raashii underwent acting workshops before she got the role. In the brief role that she had, she had a significant appearance that left an impact on the audience.
Subsequently, she debuted in a Telugu film, Oohalu Gusagusalade in 2014 for which she won the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut. She starred in commercially successful films such as Bengal Tiger in 2015, Supreme in 2016, Jai Lava Kusa in 2017, Tholi Prema in 2018, Imaikkaa Nodigal in 2018, Venky Mama in 2019, Prati Rohu Pandage in 2019, Thiruchitrambalam and Sardar in 2022 and Aranmanai 4 in 2024.
Raashii established herself as one of the leading actresses in Tamil and Telugu films. She has sung a few songs in different languages as well. She started in the streaming series called ‘Rudra: The Edge of Darkness in 2022 and Farzi in 2023. She is known as an actress to be modern yet traditional girl but she essayed roles that are completely opposite to her true nature.
She worked in the film Joru, which was a commercial failure at the box office. She worked in the film Jil, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, opposite Gopichand which was signed by her in 2014. The film had received mixed reviews then. In 2015 she had signed another film called Shivam alongside Ram Pithineni.
Raashii is predominantly an actress popular in the south, but she is slowly gaining entry into the Hindi film industry as well. She acted in the Hindi film Yodha, released in 2023. The film was opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film marked her return to Hindi cinema after a decade following her first film, Madras Café in 2013.
She has continued to do films in South and her chemistry as the lead pair has been applauded, praising her for her performance, as most of her films have been a commercial success at the box office.
In 2023, Raashii had a release with the film Farzi co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.
She also had a film with Vikran Massey called The Sabarmati Report, which had again received mixed reviews. She went on to do the role in a reprise soap opera called Kumkum Bhagya and Khudali Bhagya in a cameo role.
In 2025 Raashii Khanna completed her shooting for the film titled TME alongside actor Vikrant Massey. She is also currently shooting for a few other Telugu films.
