Barkha and Saawan fall in love while studying together in college. They soon decide to get married and then make their elder brothers meet each other to fix the date of the marriage. Barkha brings her brother Vicky, while Saawan gets his brother Barsati. Things take a drastic turn when the two men see each other. They start hurling abuses at each other and declare that this wedding can never ever take place. On probing the two tell their respective siblings that years ago, Barsati and Vicky used to be the best of friends but Nisha was in love with Vicky, who Barsati loved. So in anger Barsati rapes her. She leaves town with her brother never to be seen again. The two friends thus turned into the worst enemies.
Meanwhile mafia don Kanchan’s sister Pinky wants to marry Saawan and will do anything to get him. Saawan and Barkha elope and take shelter with Nisha not knowing who she is. She promises to get the lovers together. In a freak accident Barsati dies and unites the lovers. The film is directed by ShibuMitra and produced by Desai and Saleema Khan. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the cinematography is by Sushil Chopra. The star cast includes Raj Babbar,Chunkey Pandey,Kimi, Raza Murad and Sonam.
