Achhut Kanya is an Emotional-Romantic Musical-Social Thriller Family Melodrama Film created with excellence by Franz Osten. The Story revolves around the life of Pratap (played by Ashok Kumar)- a kind-hearted man living with his Brahmin family in a village and they get respect from the villagers for their dedication and works and he fells in love with a lower caste girl- Kasturi (played by Devika Rani)- a sweet and kind girl and they wanted to marry each other- but things get complicated- when social causes and beliefs cost them into trouble and villager's and family opposes them- but fate plays its role, leading to consequences.
