Deepa lives in poor conditions with her old widowed father. She is in love with Dharma and wants to marry him some day. Meanwhile her father gets very ill and requires treatment from a hospital abroad. However it will cost a lot of money, which she cannot afford. She then meets a rich man named Singh who falls in love with Deepa and wants to marry. He will also bear the cost of her father’s treatment. Not left with much choice, she agrees and marries Singh, leaving a heart broken Dharma to get into drinking. Deepa soon gives birth to a daughter named Barkha. Singh subsequently passes away leaving her all his wealth. Meanwhile her brother-in-law Bhanupratap demands cash from her and when she refuses he kills her.
They later move in with his family but ill-treat Barkha. Turns out that Deepa willed the entire estate to Barkha when she turns 21. Things get ugly and Bhanupratap ill-treats Barkha even more. She grows up and runs off with a local guy named Suraj. This time it is Dharma who is hired to abduct Barkha. The film is directed and produced by Deepak Shivdasani. The music is composed by Anu Malik. The story and screenplay is written by Shiraz Ahmed. The star cast includes Dharamendra, Govinda, Padmini Kolhapure, Rati Agnihotri, Amrish Puri, Rakesh Bedi, Anup Jalota and Shashikala.
