Ajay is a amateur boxer and lives with his elder brother Ashok and his sister-in-law. Ashok runs a business and has been going through some tough times, which he doesn’t disclose to his family. One day when Ajay goes to meet him in Banglore at the hotel where he is staying, Ashok leaves without leaving any message. He is then missing for days and this shakes up his family completely. Ajay runs from pillar to post in search of his brother, but he is nowhere to be found. Later one day Ajay meets a close friend of Ashok, who divulges some shocking details of his business. He tells him that a businessman by the name of Balwant Rai had joined him and helped him pay all his debts. This was a pretext to run a parallel illegal trade on the side.

When Ashok comes to know of this, he starts collecting evidence against Balwant Rai and his partners. Soon Ashok is brutally killed and Ajay is framed for the murder. His sister-in-law commits suicide after she is taunted falsely for having an illicit relationship with her brother-in-law. Ajay is then arrested and with the help of three other in-mates he escapes jail and kills Balwant Rai in front of thousands of people and the police. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Dharmendra. The star cast includes Sunny Deol, Raj Babbar, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Amrish Puri, Annu Kapoor, Viju Khote, Shafi Inamdar and Moushmi Chatterjee.
