HIT: The Third Case (2025) is a psychological action film written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. It has Nani, Srinidhi Shetty, Chaganti Koteswara Rao, Prateik Chopra and Smuthirakani in it. It is the follow-up to HIT: The Second Case (2022) and continues the exciting story in the HIT universe. The film is about SP Arjun Sarkaar, a bold and brooding cop who infiltrates a deadly dark web cult by becoming one of them, only to uncover a global conspiracy. What starts as a quest for justice turns into a brutal personal mission where loyalty, deception and sacrifice collide.
SP After carrying out a vicious murder, Arjun Sarkaar, a tough, and reticent police officer, ends up behind bars. There, he talks to fellow prisoner Samuel Joseph about his past. Flashbacks reveal that Arjun murdered two men in Visakhapatnam who were both covert members of the CTK (Capture, Torture, Kill) dark web cult, which kills people and sells their organs. Arjun risks everything by posing as someone else and joining CTK in an attempt to shut down this network. With help from his girlfriend, Mrudula, an undercover cop, and his team, Arjun tracks the cult to Arunachal Pradesh.
He enters their hideout, secretly sends signals using his trained vulture, and learns the group kills victims in fear to extract special hormones for drugs sold overseas. After a deadly fight and rescuing a child, Arjun’s team raids the hideout and defeats CTK’s leader, Alpha. Later, Arjun reveals that Samuel Joseph was the mastermind behind CTK, operating under an NGO front. Arjun had entered jail just to kill him. He does. The film ends with a tribute to ACP Dhanya Mohan, who sacrificed herself to save a child. Arjun names her the official case officer in her honour. A mid-credits scene hints at the next case in Tamil Nadu.
HIT: The Third Case delivers a gripping continuation of the HIT universe, cleverly connecting past threads with sharp direction and layered storytelling. A surprise cameo from HIT 2’s lead adds excitement, while the mid-credit reveal of Kollywood’s Karthi as ACP Veerappan sets the stage for HIT: The Fourth Case. With hope high for a Tamil-language instalment next, this franchise keeps getting darker, smarter, and more thrilling with each chapter.
