Bollywood actor Prateik Smita Patil says he was thrown out of Subhash Ghai’s film institute for doing drugs. The actor admitted he was a menace. Prateik reflected on his past with substance abuse that caused his dismissal from his schools and colleges.
Prateik Patil Opens Up on His Struggles With Addiction
Prateik Patil (Prateik Babbar) began his career in 2008 with the film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, and soon after its release he had enrolled himself with Whistling Woods, filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s institution. Prateik recalled making several mistakes that led to the downfall of his film career. He admitted he was a raging addict and regrets that his grandmother passed away seeing him in this condition. He had been thrown out of the institution for using drugs.
He has remorse about the fact that his, grandparents who hada lot of hopes on him, saw the worst of him as a raging addict. He says he wishes his grandmother could see the man he has become today. He further recalled that he was thrown out of every school or college he attended because of his addiction to drugs.
Prateik Shines in HIT: The Third Case After Salman Khan’s Sikandar
Prateik is recently seen in the film HIT: The Third Case. The film is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu and features Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles. The film also has Surya Srinivas, Rao Ramesh, Komalee Prasad, Nepoleon and others in the pivotal roles. The film enjoyed a strong run at the box office with a collection of Rs.92.5 crores worldwide .

Before this film, Prateik acted in Salman Khan’s Sikandar, directed by A R Murugadoss but the film had failed to make an impact at the box office. The film had been criticised for its lack of lustre in its storyline. The film had a star cast with Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi.
