The teaser of Eetha gave a glimpse of actress Shraddha Kapoor in one of her boldest and most transformative  roles in her career.   


Directed by Laxman Utekar, backed by Maddock Films, Eetha stars Shraddha Kapoor as the legendary Marathi Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar .  Eetha is slated for its arrival in the theatres on August 28th 2026 on Raksha Bandhan weekend. 

The teaser had its first screening alongside Maddock Films with Cocktail 2 on June 19th. Makers officially unveiled it online after there was a strong and curious audience and the social media active on the film. 


Shraddha Kapoor unveils her striking new avatar as the dancer named Eetha. 


The teaser opens to a charged atmosphere of an over enthusiastic crowd cheering for a dancer named Eetha. It is none other than actress Shraddha establishing the tone of the character .   The film quickly takes a different route with her conventional star entry .   Known for the films across the genres, Shraddha Kapoor has undergone a massive transformation to portray Vithabai Narayangaonkar one of the most celebrated folk performers of Maharashtra. 


The highlight of the teaser is Eetha posters itself that has built a high anticipation ahead of the teaser launch. 


The teaser has highlighted Shraddha Kapoor’s expressive performance with her energetic dance sequences that commands a stage presence.  She has portrayed a deeply rooted traditions of a tamasha and Lavani folk girl suggesting that Shraddha Kapoor has done a lot of preparations and research for the role. 


One of the visuals shows the actress dressed in a striking yellow saree adorned with ghungroos, walking across through a sea of lanterns to the cheering spectators.  The image captures larger than life aura associated with Vithabai Narayangaonkar and offers a glimpse of the world of Tamash theatre 


Just two hours before the teaser dropped, the makers released a set of posters featuring Shraddha Kapoor in vibrant traditional attire. One of the visuals shows the actress dressed in a striking yellow saree adorned with ghungroos, walking through a sea of lanterns and cheering spectators.


The images capture the larger-than-life aura associated with Vithabai Narayangaonkar and offers a glimpse into the colourful world of Tamasha theatre that the film seeks to recreate on screen with the emotionally driven narrative.  The story is under wraps of an intense dramatic moments that is indicated in the film as the Shraddha essays the iconic role.
