When fame and fortune become an obsession rather than a part of the professional ladder, things start going wrong. Life’s little joys are lost and everything person and event seems like a conspiracy. When money becomes an obsession to achieve, the results are far from comfortable. Jigyaasa is the story of a girl who went to great lengths to make her life long dream of fame and riches come true. Her life begins to spiral out of control by the time she realizes how deep into the darkness she has ventured.
Jigyaasa Mathur, played by Hrishitaa Bhatt, is a beautiful and full of life girl, who lives on her own terms. She is highly competitive as well as ambitious and makes sure she gets what she wants. Her mother is a school teacher named Malini Mathur, played by Varsha Usgaonkar. Jigyaasa aspires to be a movie actress and her mother has no objections to it provided she uses the correct means to reach her goal. She gets into showbiz with some initial struggle but climbs her way up through unruly means, to become rich and famous. She becomes a top paid actress within a span of 5 years.
The movie is directed by Faisal Saif and produced by Raju Chand. The music is composed by Ram Shankar.
