A poor farmer Singh works hard to feed his family consisting of his wife and two sons Ram and Laxman. But when the entire village is battling severe drought, the ruthless Thakur Vikram Singh, has enough water to bathe his dogs. Seeing this injustice Ram is unable to contain his anger and diverts a little water to water their patch of cultivated land. When Vikram comes to know of his, he is enrages and kills Singh. Ram is devastated and in fury kills Vikram’s brother. He himself gets injured and loses his memory. Ram later joins a gang of bandits. Meanwhile Laxman is separated from his mother and found near a river by the Police commissioner Bhalla and he adopts him. Ram is now a dacoit while Laxman is now a CBI officer. They both now join forces to avenge their father’s death. The film is directed by Chand and produced by A A Nadiadwala. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Feroz Khan, Jeetendra, Rekha, Parveen Babi, Ranjeet, Ajit, Om Shivpuri, Jagdeep, Mukri and Nirupa Roy.
