Sharda is the widow of freedom fighter Ramnath, who died while serving the country. His wife is now living a respectable and quite life with her two sons Krishna and Arjun. Krishna and his mom both decide to send Arjun to the city to study further. Arjun then goes to Bombay and lives in a hostel to complete his studies. While there, he also meets with a girl named Poonam and falls in love with her. Things seem to be going great for the family until something terrible happens.
Arjun gets the devastating news of the death of his mother. When he comes to the village, he is shocked to learn that his brother Krishna has been put in police custody due to raping and killing a young school teacher. The shock and humiliation of it all lead to their mother’s death. Arjun now has to find out the truth of what happened after he left for the city.
The movie is directed and produced by Shailendra Shukla. The music is composed by Arup Pranay and the lyrics are written by Yogesh and Nitish Raj. The story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Pawan Sethi. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Vivek Mushran, Karina Grover, Karisma Kapoor, Farah Naaz, Raza Murad, Kiran Kumar, Johnny Lever, Javed Khan, Arun Bakshi, Birbal, Maan Singh, Upasana Singh and Rohini Hattangadi.
