Manav, played by Sohail Khan and Shanti played by Anita Hassanandani, study in the same college and are in love with each other. They decide to take their relationship further by getting engaged. They invite all their close friends and family for their engagement, however an unknown guest also arrives. She is Disha, played by Isha Koppikar. She is apparently a new student in college and a very mysterious one. Somehow Shanti has doubts about Disha’s intentions and decides to visit her house. When she goes to her house, she is shocked to learn that Disha had died some 20 years ago with her lover Amar, who resembles Manav. She is back as a spirit now to attain her love.
Disha kills two of Shanti’s friends Nupur and Tali with her supernatural powers and now aims for Shanti. On Manav and Shanti’s wedding day Disha tries hard to kill Shanti but Manav saves her every time. Finally it is revealed that Manav must go to Krishna Cottage and remove all evidence of Amar and Disha that they ever existed. The film is directed by Santram Varma and produced by Shobha & Ekta Kapoor. The music is composed by Anu Malik and Vishal-Shekhar.
