Zulfikar and Ramlath enjoy a contented marriage. Zulfikar's family is opposed to his marriage, in contrast to Judgal Abu, who is dissatisfied that Zulfikar does not offer him handouts.Judgal Abu is introduced to Kunjumuhammed, an affluent divorcee who is returning to the hamlet. Judgal Abu makes a strategy in the hopes that Kunjumuhammed will give him financial support. He is successful in creating misunderstandings between Zulfikar and Ramlath. He forces Zulfikar to divorce Ramlath. Disgruntled Zulfikar leaves the hamlet. Judgal Abu forces Ramlath to marry Kunjumuhammed.On the first night, Ramlath informs Kunjumuhammed that she is carrying Zulfikar's child. Kunjumuhammed assured Ramlath that he would bring Zulfikar back despite his disappointment.
