Renowned Hyderabadi novelist Nawab used to be top of his game few years back. His stories mesmerized people and transported them into another fantasy world. But since the last five years Nawab has been struggling to write a decent story, let alone a interesting one. He has been going through the writer’s block that doesn’t seem to leave his path. Just when he thought that his career is over he comes across the elegant Meenaxi, a woman he happens to come across. He is intrigued by her and finally knows he has got the story he is looking for.

Meenaxi, played by Tabu, is an enigmatic beauty but isn’t very sure about being Nawab’s passive muse. His ideas and fantasies elude her. But he is persistent that he has found his story. He starts to give Meenaxi different personas for his story; she could be the enigmatic perfume trader, an exotic dancer from Jaisalmer or the Maria of Prague, who is orphaned. Amidst all these stories blooming into Nawab’s mind, Meenaxi is highly critical of them and at times even mocks them. She is particularly amused with the character of Kameshwar and shows no regard for the many ideas Nawab has. She dismisses his book as being incompetent and a fail. With this despair Nawab must move on to something better.

The movie is directed by M.F Hussain and produced by Reima Husain. The cinematography is by Santosh Sivan.
