Natukku Oru Nallavan is a classic 1991 action crime film. I stars Rajinikanth, Juhi Chawla and Ravinchandran. The film centres on an orphanage that clandestinely runs an organ trafficking operation with help from a vicious gang leader. When Jyothi discovers their nefarious doings, she is assassinated in cold blood. Her lover, Subhash, an upright and hard-nosed inspector general of police, swears to avenge her death and bring her killers to justice.

The plot centres on a probably benevolent orphanage that hides an evil secret. The orphanage is a cover for a merciless organ trafficking syndicate headed by a cold-blooded criminal called Daddy. The brave and principled Jyothi does ultimately find herself uncovering the sinister underbelly of the orphanage’s operations. As she becomes hell bent on unearthing the truth, she will ultimately have to put her life on the line and, unfortunately, be silenced by the very people who’ll do anything to hide their criminal activity.

Her violent murder reverberates through Subhash, a clean cop and Jyothi’s fiancé. Devastated by her death, Subhash makes it her mission to bring justice to her killers. The farther he gets into the case, the more he finds layers of corruption and brutality on top of the criminal underbelly. What ensues is a gripping and cinematic chase thriller, as Subhash is forced to go up against the very forces that power the trafficking ring, fighting for everything to fulfil Jyothi’s legacy and deliver the truth.

A thrilling action crime drama, Nattukku Oru Nallavan connects hard-hitting action with a fiery emotional underbelly. Rife with high-stakes clashes and a palpable sense of moral imperative, the film is an affecting blend of scrappy suspense and heart. It's a unique, multilingual production. Its simultaneous production in Hindi, Kannada and Telugu makes it even more significant and unusual as a bold and ambitious cinematic effort with a socially charged narrative.
