“Oru Nodi” is a gripping Tamil crime thriller that unwraps a knotted skein of murder, corruption, and justice. B. Manivasakam is the director of the film, with Thaman Kumar, M. S. Bhaskar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Pala Karuppiah, Gajaraj, and Karuppu Nambiyaar.

The story is about “Arun”, a young journalist who finds an unusual murder case in his town. When a popular businessman gets a tragic death under mysterious conditions, the police in the town downplay it as an accident. But Arun suspects something is wrong and personally takes up the case for investigation.

As he continues to investigate, Arun finds that the victim had lots of enemies, each of them with motives. In pursuit of the truth, he encounters MLA Rajasekaran, a politician and powerbroker, and Inspector Ravi who wants to close the case. Along the way, an elderly retired detective, “Subramaniam” (M. S. Bhaskar), comes aboard Arun's quest, with years of experience and expertise to share.

With every discovery, the mystery gets deeper. Arun is threatened and obstructed, as the perpetrators of the crime will do anything to murder him. As tension builds up, he learns ghastly discoveries that connect the murder with a buried crime long ago.

In a thrilling finale, Arun uncovers the real murderer and there is a fierce battle between truth and authority. “Oru Nodi” is a fast-flipping thriller which keeps one seated on the edge of their seats, demonstrating that one second full of truth makes all the difference.
